Eilonwy, Daughter of Angharad, Daughter of Regat, of the Royal House of Llyr.
Well, it's not entirely how I imagined her... but I wanted to do a face study and thought this would be a good chance to get in a long-overdue Prydain piece.
Wow! Yahoo for new Prydain art from you, yes, long overdue.
The lighting is terrific, and your coloring, as always, just striking. Her eye really pops. Um, in a good artsy way, not in a "pop-eyed" way, ha ha. Her expression is great - exactly that kind of wary, I'm-about-to-spout-some-smart-aleck-comment look I always expect her to have.
And wow, the hands! Although I never picture Eilonwy as having nails that nice, lol.
Were you using a photo reference? Her ear seems high. There's also some flattening-out occurring on the left plane of her face; my feeling is there should be less distance between where her eyebrow ends and her hairline begins, in order to foreshorten that side of her face properly.
Do more, do more! And hey, what did you think of my comic page?

Agreed, the ear is a bit off. I think my brother mentioned that her index finger is a little long as well. I'll have to fix all that. I didn't use a reference at all. Hence the mistakes.
I took a look at the comic. For some reason, it DIDN'T show up in my feed! So, I only just saw it after you told me about it. Anyway, I left a comment on it.
I'll definitely do more. I think a classic portrait should be in the works pretty soon.

That's amazingly realistic! I love the lighting, especially the way it falls on her hair and makes her eyes sparkle, while throwing half of her face into shadow. The way you drew her bauble is also amazing.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
